Pranayama Immersion with William

Pranayama—the harnessing and extension of your vital energy or life force—is considered the fourth limb of Ashtanga Yoga, after theYamas (restraints), Niyamas (observances) and Asana (postures).
In this 6-week course, you will learn practices to restore your nervous system and methodically prepare for subtle, deep work with your own Prana, or life force.

Topics covered week to week include supine and seated techniques, mudras, bandhas, and digital control. The course will include instruction on Ujayi I-III, Viloma I-III and Bhramari IA, IB, IIA, and IIB Pranayamas.

The philosophical basis, components, hints and cautions of pranayama will be described, and the Sanskrit names, definitions and significance of the 5 vayus.

If you are experienced with Pranayama, this course will deepen and refine your practice. For those new to Pranayama, this course will support a safe and systematic approach for this transformative practice.
